During the early stages of building a new house my wife and I thought, wouldn’t it be great if we could automate the audio / visual elements in our house. We were chasing a very capable system that was aesthetically minimal and something that would deliver that little bit of ‘wow’ to the house. Not knowing much more than how to wire up a basic stereo system, I reached out to Mark at Edge to enquire about what would be needed. It was at this point that I realised my timing was (by luck) perfect as the framing was about to start and that meant Mark could have free rein to smart wire the house to suit the capabilities we wanted. Safe to say, if I was only a little bit later in asking him then the ability to smart wire the house would have been far more restricted and potentially impossible.

The initial running of wires itself was done on time and as expected (although the amount of cable that had been routed through the house was surprising and impressive). From that point we waited, waiting for all the trades to come in and finish off so we could get back to the finishing touches of the AV system. The final product achieved by Mark is exactly what we discussed and is frequently the topic of discussion of people coming to our house for the first time. The integration of capabilities between all the media orientated rooms is fantastic, simple to use and with the exception of the TVs and in-ceiling speakers, it’s all hidden away. The pride that Mark has for his work is clearly on show with the finished product in my house. The ability to smart wire the house from the early stages has meant that no aspect was unachievable and in fact, the house is wired for the expansion of capabilities in the future (as my family expands or as my expectations of the system changes). Mark’s experience from this early stage in designing the system was truly invaluable.

When we were about to build a new home, I wanted to integrate as much of the Audio Visual as possible. I spoke to numerous Company’s and received lots of advice and quotes. The one that impressed me most was Mark from Edge Audio Visual.

He took the time to listen to what I wanted and he came back to me with a great plan. They weren’t the cheapest but in saying that, they were competitive and were using the latest technology.

We had a 7.2 Home Theatre system installed into a sound proof room. 8 x Large LED screens used throughout the house, including a 6.1 system in the lounge room, 5.1 system in the living room and in ceiling speakers installed throughout the house.

We used the PUSH system to operate the whole house including controlling the garage doors, the electronic front gate and the camera system. Mark also installed a pet friendly alarm system in the house as well as the intercom from the front gate. Edge Audio Visual were very professional and any hiccup we have had has been fixed promptly.

We love the system and couldn’t be happier with the help and advice we get from Edge Audio Visual. Mark checks on us to make sure everything is working ok and provides updates on the system when necessary. I have also used Edge Audio Visual at work and would recommend them to anyone, they are a fantastic Company.

When we bought our new house we had some old technology in place and we realised that we wanted to be able to share all of our photos and all of our music around the entire house.  We decided to put it out to quote and ended up with the boys from Edge.  The experience has been awesome and we are the envy of our friends with our ability to have great music throughout the house.  One of the best things is that they incorporated our existing technology and thus avoided tens of thousands extra expense.  Thanks again.
